It is time to move into the 21st century and say so-long to the OEM Honda distributor! Honda motors with distributors mounted at the end of the intake camshaft are notorious for ignition timing drift especially at high load, high power, high rpm and even more pronounced with valvetrain upgrades. This is often caused by a combination of timing belt stretch, belt harmonics, valve train loads and the clearance of the mechanical drive on the distributor!

5-0 Ignite is proud to release our crank trigger kit for B series DOHC VTEC and Non-VTEC application which gives unparalleled accuracy of the crank shaft position against any other cam-only based system on the market. It is a must for your rev-loving engine!

Full Instructions Supplied (refer to 'Installation Guide' tab above). Professional Installation is Highly Recommended.

!  It is STRONGLY recommended to power up the sensors via regulated power supply such as your ECU's 12V or 8V output.

!  You will need to transfer over the drive key from your old distributor to the cam sensor unit (2 minute job).

!  You may need to assign one ECU output to the OEM instrument cluster for RPM gauge read out.

!  You will need OEM Honda B18C USDM OBD2 Type R oil pump and the matching lower timing belt cover (refer to OPTION B). Other aftermarket oil pump (ACL etc) may have casting variance that may cause clearance issue with the trigger tooth, ensure that this is thoroughly checked upon fitment.

!  NOT Compatible with PowerFC or any ECU that utilises OEM Honda Board i.e. Hondata, Crome, Neptune etc. It is far more cost effective to run full standalone ECUs that gives you more features/tuning parameters off the box than buying an ECU that relies on 30 year old Honda board and only have to spend more to buy add-on modules for COP or trigger conversion.
