RB30ET (SOHC) Crank Trigger Kit

It has been proven over and over again that Nissan motors with optical crank angle sensor mounted on the camshaft (CA, RB, VG, SR etc.) are notorious for ignition timing drift especially at high load, high power, high rpm and even more pronounced with valvetrain upgrades. This is often caused by a combination of timing belt stretch, belt harmonics, worn gear drive and worn out OEM distributor unit. Just ask any reputable Nissan tuner!

5-0 Ignite is proud to release our crank trigger kit for RB30ET (SOHC) application which gives unparalleled accuracy of the crank shaft position against any other cam-only based system on the market. We have designed the kit WITHOUT the compromise of the necessity to have the top timing cover removed and leaving the timing belt exposed to debris which can lead to timing belt failure/catastrophic engine damage.

!  It is STRONGLY recommended to power up the sensors via regulated power supply such as your ECU's 12V or 8V output.

!  DISTRIBUTOR CORE NOT INCLUDED. You will need to re-use your existing distributor, swap the supplied trigger disc and distributor cover onto (10 mins job). If your optical sensor within the distributor is faulty, it is recommended to rebuild the distributor with new bearing and optical sensor (using kits such as GOSS SC001M)

24 Plus 1 (24+1) trigger setup compatible with most modern standalone aftermarket ECU (NOT compatible with Nistune or PowerFC)

Clean Slate ‘OEM’ look CNC machined billet aluminium 6061 replacement low profile distributor cover.

CNC Machined Billet Aluminium 6061 Crank Sensor Mount.

Replacement stainless steel single window CAS disc for home signal (with built-in redundancy where you can use either the inner or outer optical sensor on the OEM unit).

Genuine ZF (Cherry) hall effect sensor for crank signal.

Integrated trigger teeth on supplied crank timing sprocket, compatible with OEM and most aftermarket balancer.

5-0 Ignite original unique design of tapered back crank trigger teeth for better alignment to the sensor and crank pulley clearance compared to competitors!

Jacking bolt holes on the crank timing sprocket for ease of future removal.

Wiring connectors supplied.

All installation fasteners supplied

Full Instructions Supplied (refer to 'Installation Guide' tab above). Professional Installation is Highly Recommended.
